Welcome home.

Well, thanks COVID. I should be in Iceland right now enjoying the view of a waterfall or riding a small pony through a lush green valley... but instead I have spent the last three days full of paint and cobwebs. Can’t say I’m too upset, I’ve been waiting for this for a LONG time. I have lived in a few places my past 30 years of life, but this is the first time I was able to choose my own house, and got to sign on the dotted line (well, straight line.. MANY of them).

I started this blog during quarantine as a creative outlet (as if I don’t have enough of those already)… to document our journey so that Tim and I can look back and remember where we started. After years of blood, sweat, and tears, we can be reminded of how far we have come and all we’ve accomplished. I also just love this design stuff and well, maybe someone out there might want to read about it. Posts may include but are not limited to: quirky dogs, furniture renovations, fiddle leaf fig care, wine and cheese favorites, thrifting finds, and plenty of before and afters. Plus, we hope to build a tree house someday!

So, tell me about the house!

Forest Lane is a 4,000 sq. ft. gem in the heart of Arden Hills, straight out of 1969 and located just a mile down the road from our house on Stowe. I’ll share more details and tell you about the serendipitous happenings in a future post (it’s actually a bit of a crazy story!) but for now here are some photos of the new house! Thanks Molly for the numerous unscripted photo bombs and for breaking sticks all over the kitchen floor.

Welcome to Forest Lane.
